Praksh raj's main villain role in Karthi's Saguni

Kollywood young superstar Karthi Sivakumar's political satire 'Saguni' that was initially slated for a Tamil New Years release will now, if sources are to be believed, see light of the day towards the fag end of May or early June.

This is because most of the scenes of 'Saguni' are being shot again! Buzz is that the producers watched the double positive of 'Saguni' and weren't satisfied with the scenes featuring the baddie, Salim Ghouse!

The film has a few villains and Salim Ghouse plays the main antagonist and apparently there are scenes featuring him and Karthi that aren't up to the mark and the producers want a re-shoot.

He is now replaced by South Indian cinema's favorite villain, Prakash Raj who is reportedly paid a huge amount for allotting a ten-day schedule for the film.

This movie by Dream Warriors is directed by debutant Shankar Dayal and is a high voltage action entertainer with Praneetha as the female lead. Scenes featuring Karthi and Santhanam are one of the major highlights of the film.

Karthi plays Nira Radia role in saguni?

We already reported that Karthi's forthcoming movie directed by debutant Shankar Dayal Saguni is a political satire. Now the sources says that karthi's character will have shades of political lobbyist Nira Radia, who kicked up the 2G controversy.

Says a source close to the film's unit, "Being a political satire, Karthi's character undergoes a transformation in the film and some of the things that the character does will remind you of the Nira Radia episode. However, the director has given the role a positive spin and so the character's actions will actually benefit the common man."

Shankar Dayal, says that Karthi plays a dogooder in the film. "Karthi's character is a good human being who wants to change society for the better," is all he reveals. He adds that while the film will have political elements, it will also have all the elements of a typical commercial film. "Saguni is a positive film which will have political elements. We have satirized everything from politics to love," he says.
