As per Kollywood grapevine, Karthi has heard a "fantastic masala story with lots of action, comedy and sentiments" from Mappillai director Suraj, and feels it has a potential. As per trade sources, Karthi will start shoot for the Suraj film under Studio Green banner immediately and will complete it under 100 days, for an August release!So far he has worked with top class directors and debutants and has given hit films. His film Saguni too is directed by debutant Shankar Dayal which is progressing on a brisk pace.
Saguni’s is a quickie and the shooting of the film will be completed in just 70 days. Besides this everyone are eagerly waiting to know on what is going to be his next project. This project has been planned by Karthi and director Suraj well before the release of Mappillai but it got delayed due to some professional reasons. But the latest update is that everything is going to happen as per the schedule.
