Karthi score a hat trick?

Karthi's Naan Mahaan Alla (NMA), gets ready for release this Friday (August 20). The film is opening across fifteen screens in Chennai. This shows Karthi's growing importance as a star.

Karthi is the star of 2010. He had back to back hits, Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan and Paiyaa, a super hit that established him as a star. Now all eyes are on NMA, as the trade is predicting that it will be a hat trick hit for the actor.

NMA has everything going for it, and cannot fail. Suseenthiran impressed everybody with his story telling methods in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, and the buzz on his latest urban story is very positive. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music from the film has been topping the charts, till Enthiran came along.

But the clinching factor is that NMA made by Studio Green is being marketed by Dhyanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine. They have got over 200 of the best screens in Tamil Nadu, which is giving the film prime placement. More important is that there is no real competition to the film for the next four weeks till Enthiran releases.
